An island institution, made for lingering
Salim Cottage and Raja Bar have been part of Gili Air life for over a decade, since around 2013. What started as a laid-back beach bar grew into a whole easygoing escape: cosy cottages to stay in, a welcoming restaurant, a pool, a spa, and a stretch of quiet east-coast beach with a reef out front.
The two sides sit happily together. By day it is serene, the kind of place where mornings start slowly and the loudest sound is the sea. By night the Raja Bar side comes alive with good food, cold drinks and live reggae under the stars. It is family-run, well loved, and, as guests keep telling us, a special gem in paradise.
